Position Summary


The Application Engineer is a technical sales/customer role to support internal and external customers.
 

Sales Application Job Responsibilities Include

  • Understand our packaging and inspection equipment to make equipment, application, and process recommendations.
  • Review customer specs and documents to determine scope of project supply.
  • Perform equipment and product testing to recommended technical solutions.
  • Estimate costs of purchased material, labor, and engineering by referencing cost reports.
  • Sourcing quotes for vendor buy-out items.
  • Generate customer proposals.
  • Enter pre-sale quote activities to CRM/quote configuration systems. Quote other product lines.
  • Purchase order review and processing for hand-off to Project Management and Engineering.
  • Monitor progress of existing orders to estimated budgets.
  • Field travel to support sales, customers, and service.
  • Manage customer visits/demos

Sales Application Engineer Required Education and Experience

  • 2-year Associates of Applied Science degree in an engineering field, or
  • 4-year Bachelor degree in an engineering field
  • Technical sales, estimating, and engineering experience with Industrial Equipment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and CRM systems.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
