Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the machinist team, providing training and support. Includes new hire interviews, performance reviews & employee resolutions. 
  • Review engineering drawings and specs to plan machining processes and select tools and equipment. 
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure machining processes align with project requirements. 
  • Participate in the machining operations, including CNC programming, setup, and operation of machining equipment. 
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure machined parts meet precise tolerances and quality requirements. 
  • Maintain equipment, oversee tooling inventory.
  • Requisitions raw materials & tools based on engineering drawing. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and technical or vocational training in machining.
  • Minimum 5 years in machining, including CNC machining and programming.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Lead with with previously managing a team of machinists.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools, and machining equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code).
