Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. An industrial maintenance degree is preferred but not required.
  • Reading blueprints and schematics: Interpreting technical drawings to understand system layouts 
  • Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment (including laser, water-jet, press brakes, lathes, mills)
  • Operate power equipment and hand tools including saws, drills, sanders, forklifts.
  • Indoor and Outdoor facility maintenance and using powered floor cleaner.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Bend and climb ladders.
  • Addressing urgent maintenance issues outside of regular hours, such as plumbing leaks, power outages, HVAC system failures or snow removal.
